Important Notice on Data Protection

We treat your personal data with confidentiality and in accordance with applicable data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

Using our website is generally possible without providing personal data. If personal data is collected on our pages (e.g. name, address or email address), this is always done, where possible, on a voluntary basis. Such data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

Please note that data transmission over the internet (e.g. communication via email) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. A complete protection of data from third-party access is not possible.

Website Analytics

When you visit our website, we collect information about your usage via a web analytics tool provided by our hosting service. This tool combines your IP address and user agent, shortens them, and stores this data using a hash function. This creates a visitor identifier that is encrypted with a randomly generated value (SALT), which changes every 24 hours. As a result, it is not possible to reconstruct your IP address from the stored identifier, ensuring your anonymity.

We do not link this information with other data, and it is stored solely on the hosting provider’s server within the EU.

We also process web analysis data, HTTP data and web analysis profile data. The analytics tool we use creates and stores a usage profile with details about your site activity, such as visited pages, frequency, dwell time, and the user agent of your device (e.g. browser, operating system, IP address).

The purpose of processing this data is to analyze user behavior in aggregate in order to improve our website’s design and content. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The collected data is processed within the EU and shared only with our web hosting provider.

Use of Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to analyze the use of our website. The data collected is used to improve both our site and marketing efforts.

Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google processes this data on our behalf and is contractually committed to safeguarding its security and confidentiality.

During your visit, the following data may be transmitted to Google:

  • Pages visited

  • Conversion goals (e.g. contact form submissions or newsletter sign-ups)

  • Your behavior on the website (e.g. time spent, clicks, scroll depth)

  • Your approximate location (country and city)

  • Your IP address

  • Technical details such as browser, device type, screen resolution

  • Referrer (how you reached the site)

  • A randomly generated user ID

No personally identifiable information (e.g. name, address, or contact details) is transmitted to Google Analytics.

Data may be transferred to Google servers in the USA. Please note: U.S. data protection laws do not offer the same level of protection as EU laws.

Google Analytics stores cookies in your browser for two years after your last visit. These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID, allowing recognition upon return visits.

User-related data is stored for 14 months and then automatically deleted. Aggregated data is stored indefinitely.

If you do not agree with this data collection, you can disable it by installing the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics or by rejecting analytics cookies via our cookie consent banner.
